Featured Car for December 2001
John & Amanda Lill's

It was bound to happen, Mustang fever that is!

It has been a couple of years since we picked up the 66 coupe and the thought of restoring it has crossed my mind more than a dozen times. However, restoring the coupe would mean taking away the wife's ride, which let's face it; it's not gonna happen! So the search began for a car that not only needed minimal work but one that the wife could drive from time to time.

After an elusive search through every dealership and private seller from Whidbey Island to Auburn, we found the magic one.

It's a 1993 GT Hatchback in vibrant white. One punch of the gas pedal and you feel like Han Solo making the jump to light speed. Best of all it's a Mustang the wife loves. After a few stall's in the old 66 I thought the wife would for sure be through with the Mustang experience. Luckily for me her test drive was without fault.

The car was purchased in Palmdale,CA in late December of 1993 making it truly one of the last Overall the car is in great shape only needing little things here and there to bring it up for next years show season. The biggest fixes are to have the driver seat reupholstered, carpet replaced and a new windshield to replace the current one which has some cracks.

I guess it was my duty as president to ensure that the club still have a white 93 Fox body Mustang since our former President Dave Clem has moved on. Ha Ha Just kidding! As happy as I am with my new toy, the wife says the 66 Mustang has to go to make room in the drive way. When the 66 does go, it will be a very sad day. If it were up to me, Mustangs would be the only vehicles driven in our household!
