Hi,
My name is Ashley Marciszyn
from Smithtown, and my Father
John Marciszyn, used to be a
member of the Mustang club of
Long Island. He was in the
process of restoring his 69
convertible when he passed
away over five years ago.
Before he passed away, he
said that he wanted me to
have the car if anything
should happen to him. I was
only 14 when this happened,
and basically spent the next
five years looking at it, and
helping my uncle strip the 69
hard top that my dad had got
also.
My mother is moving within
the next few weeks, and is
fed up with having it around
the house. This morning she
has given me the ultimatum of
having a plan to get the car
out of the house as soon as
possible, before noon May
4th, or she will call this
random guy and sell it to
him. She had put an ad in a
magazine a few weeks ago
without consulting me first,
and now 6 people want to buy
it.
I have spent the last three
weeks, calling all of my
dad's old friends, countless
uncles and relatives, and my
own friends at school to see
if they can help me. On such
short notice, it is quite
understandable that they
cannot.
I was hoping that maybe
someone on this website could
help me find a way to store
the car on my own somehow on
Long Island, for a month or
two so I can finish up
finals, and make enough money
to transport it somewhere? Or
if anyone would know of any
resources such as a BOCES
school that would be willing
to help me restore it, or had
any suggestions as to what I
can do? I know that this is
the shortest notice in the
entire world, but any
suggestions and contact
information would be
extremely helpful to me.
Thanks a lot for your time
and patience. You have a
cool website.
