I have a 87' convertible and
my top doesn't go up or down
anymore. This is my second
mustang convertible. My
first one had the same
problem and I spent $250 for
a new hydraulic motor pump.
I just want to know if there
is anything that I can check
before I have to spend
another $250 on a pump. I
looked around the motor to
see if there were any fluid
leaks, but there were none.
For the last few weeks when I
want the top down I have been
manually compressing the top,
trying not to use excessive
force and getting a friend to
help me slowly raise it
again, believe me, this IS
NOT EASY. Anyway if there is
anyone with any useful info,
I'm all ears. thanx
