 Posted by zeroillusion (209.206.186.38) on Nov 02, 2024 at 12:02:23: I just recently bought an 83 mustang convertable,halloween night I was driving home from work and the engine all of the sudden cut out,and would not restart after that. The next day I went thru and unhooked the lines and blew them out as I thought it could be the problem since it had been sitting in a garage for over a year with out being ran. So after doing that I tried it and it still would not start,then the fuel filter and fuel pump were replaced with brand new units. Still nothing,even the new pump will not pump fuel to the carb. It will start and run until burns all the fuel when you pour it directly into the carb.
