With our annual show growing larger each year, we started looking for a larger, more centrally-located area to hold our Shine & Shine. In 2000, we held the show at Wal-Mart in Oak Harbor. While it was a great location, there were complaints from Wal-Mart customers about the limited parking. The 25 pictures contained in this slideshow show the empty parking lot at Skagit Valley College's Whidbey Campus. On June 5, 2000, ICMC was given permission to use the parking lot for our car show -- this is the location we will hold the 2001 event. The parking lot has four levels, with stairs in certain areas to move from level to level. Notice the beautiful scenery as a backdrop. If you view the other pictures under the Slideshow Link, the Animated and Color Coded image shows the four different levels, with a different color for each level. The lower Yellow level has 51 parking spots, the Blue level has 54, the Green level has 86, and the top Red level has 99 parking spots -- that's a total of 290.
